Doo Money Lender Limited, a subsidiary of Doo Payment, has secured a Money Lenders License from the Licensing Court of Hong Kong Companies Registry. This authorization allows the company to offer money lending services within Hong Kong, adhering to local regulatory standards. Previously, another Doo Group subsidiary, Doo Financial HK Limited, obtained a Type 1 Dealing in Securities license from the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, enabling it to provide securities trading services.
With this new license, Doo Money Lender has established a professional team to deliver various loan products to both individuals and corporate clients. The company’s offerings include unsecured personal loans, property mortgages, and corporate financing. The company stated that compliance with Hong Kong’s Money Lenders Ordinance ensures legal and transparent credit services.
Doo Group, established in 2014 and headquartered in Singapore, operates in diverse sectors such as Brokerage, Wealth Management, and Payment & Exchange. The group has a global presence in cities including Dallas, London, and Sydney, and its entities are regulated by various international authorities.
The new license is expected to enhance Doo Group’s financial services portfolio, supporting its brokerage, wealth management, and payment services. This development aims to improve investment opportunities, capital turnover, and asset management for clients.
Additionally, Doo Group is adjusting its operations in other regions. For example, its brokerage division, D Prime, is reportedly leaving its Limassol office following recent layoffs. The company indicated these changes are part of an effort to optimize efficiency and focus on key strategic areas. Meanwhile, Doo Group confirmed that its Malaysian office underwent an inspection by local authorities but maintains that it remains in full compliance with regulations.
Doo Group continues to navigate regulatory landscapes while adjusting operational strategies to maintain its competitive edge in the global financial market.
